Course Outline:

What is Christian Ethics? Christian Ethics is defined as the study of the way of life set forth by Jesus Christ and applied to daily life and society.

The author, Dr. Harkness, was educated at Cornell University, Boston University School of Theology, studied at Harvard & Yale theological seminaries and at Union Theological Seminary of New York. She has taught at Elmira College, Mount Holyoke, and for twelve years held a position as the Professor of Applied Theology at Garrett Biblical Institute. She then became the Professor of Applied Theology at the Pacific School of Religion, in Berkeley, California.

Throughout the course content, Dr. Harkness applies her thesis of Christian ethical principles to the major issues of contemporary life. Dealing first with the biblical foundations of Christian ethics, followed by their application to specific contemporary problems, and including self and society, marriage, economic life, race, the state, war, peace and others.

Instructions are included in the course for where to submit any assignments, quiz and essay questions. A Course Final you submit will be reviewed by Faculty, and your completion certificate/diploma will be issued by the ULC Seminary Board of Directors.
